Great Lakes Die Cast manufactures components for the automotive market (approximately 30% of sales) and the furniture market (approximately 60% of sales). The remaining sales are comprised of products for such applications as food processing equipment, aerospace, truck components, and small engines.
About Us
The Company is a manufacturer of both aluminum castings (90%) and plastic injection molded components (10%). Within the automotive industry the Company has developed expertise in the manufacture of aluminum convertible top frames, retractable top sub-assemblies, and exterior mirror assemblies. The Company is also a supplier of cast aluminum parts to the office furniture industry. Those parts typically include high luster buffed or painted chair bases, arms, and other components. The Company has also developed the capability to overmold plastic on aluminum die castings. Other cast aluminum components are sold to makers of food processing equipment, truck parts, small gasoline engines, and bowling pinsetter parts. Most of the aluminum products are supplied polished, painted, and/or machined. The Company also offers plastic injection molded components to the automotive and furniture markets.
